Re: Pande-reviews: 1996.2 (FSOL - Dead Cities)

Interestingly, those four are my least favourite on the album (really don't like the album version of My Kingdom).

Re: FSOL Stage Animations

That's a pretty awesome version of Explosive, liking all the new bits in it. Some quite amusing versions of what FSOL could be mean there - brings back memories of Gaz's suggestion that EBV might actually mean 'extraordinary beautiful vagina'. Hopefully this means the In 2 Minds DVD is on its way......

Re: Terminal Window 3

To be honest, at the moment I'm going to say start work on it whenever you can, and we'll come back to it in the new year, see how everyone's getting on, and set a deadline then. I don't see need to rush it, especially if we're going for something which will be curated as a specific album, with a fl...

Re: Terminal Radio

Or we could wait until we have a release date for The Cartel - I think that'll be more like the MPB releases, i.e. done in syndication with another label (like History on MPB3), so I don't think it'll be one of those overnight out of the blue things like Environments...

Re: Terminal Radio

For A Monstrous Psychedelic Terminal Exploding In Your Radio, I reckon it might be wise to leave it a little bit longer, maybe set it up for the first one of next year? Whichever volume that'll be. As it's a specifically curated thing rather than simply 'another volume'. How does that sound to every...

Re: Terminal Radio

Yeah, that's a good idea. Might.be interesting to alternate them - one month a style, the next an artist curated one and so on. It'd all help take the weight off Craig at the same time.

Re: Terminal Window 3

In terms of limitations, I will suggest two tracks each, no time limit (but.not 25 minute epics obv). If it's a long'un, no probs - that never harmed Lifeforms and Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld.

Re: Terminal Window 3

Ok, as the acid trip idea seems to have been the most popular, let's go with that. It moves away from the original concept a bit, but no problems there. Soooooo yeah, something pretty psychedelic/trippy, starting off mellow and going into craziness, perhaps a bit of a loss of control (I have the per...

Re: Terminal Radio

Ok, here's an idea, to keep Terminal Radio fresh and interesting and exciting. Much in the way we've planned for Terminal Window 3 (hmm yeah should get around to that), how about a series of themed mixes? So we set a theme/style/whatever, and people contribute mixes and it comes together as a solid ...

Slowdive were really wonderful, there's some heartbreaking stuff on their albums. Primal, Sing, When the Sun Hits and Cello are my favourites. Was never a fan of Mojave 3, though...

Re: Pande-reviews: 1996.1 (FSOL - My Kingdom)

My Kingdom was my introduction to FSOL and Part 1 is my favourite piece of music ever. As for the cover, I always assumed it is where the 'arms' of the Electronic Brain go... You normally see them punching holes into things, and the bottom of this model looks like they're punching through from somew...

Re: Another X-series From Dougans & Cobain

According to Brian all the albums documented in the Peppermint Tree booklet exist - if/when they'll be released is another matter.
