Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
So why hasn't this been released in mp3 and FLAC alongside vinyl/CD?

Without Brian and Gaz explicitly stating, where do you generally find a lot of this information, Pandemonium?

Re: wee Noel in the NME
I know musical taste is a subjective thing, but I know who my money's on when it comes to who thought it was decent or not.

I'm not too hot on Your Body Robotc (Part 1) having just listened to it. Orbital (Feeling) is a great track though.

Re: wee Noel in the NME
Well, at least they're not working with him any more. Something I think they're really devastated over.
It wouldn't surprise me if the 'team effort' was 10% Noel/90% Gaz/Brian.

Yage - The Woodlands of Old
I didn't know this was an entire album until today (I'd previously thought it was a small EP). I love the layering and texturing of the instrumentation. It feels like a fusion between Amorphous Androgynous and ISDN-era FSOL in parts. What do you guys think of it? Crow Hushing the Floating Woods is s...

Re: Pande-reviews: 2007.0 (FSOL - A Gigantic Globular Burst.
I definitely think the shortform track of Globular works a lot better than the long form one, listening to it in a space it wasn't intended for. 12-15 minutes is about right for it.

Re: Environment FIVE: out 8-Sep-2014
Yup. It really is a tale of two decades (and a bit) with FSOL. The website, as a fan, is the best thing that could have happened. I've really enjoyed listening to the ISDN mixes and going 'ah! So that's where X in From the Archives comes from'.

Re: Crazy theory: Are FSOL responsible for BR: Esper Edition
There was an interview with the two people behind Esper where it sounded like them a bit. I'll see if I can find it later.

Crazy theory: Are FSOL responsible for BR: Esper Edition?
Okay, it's not a completely crazy theory, but it is based on the mix styles I've noticed FSOL use not only in their own albums, but also in their mixes as well (I've been listening to a lot of them lately). I know the Esper Edition was produced by two people and then produced as a bootleg, so could ...

Speaking of which, I was surprised that didn't appear in E5. Maybe it'll be in E6, if there is one.Ross wrote:Sounds like a good idea - I'd probably add 'Lakeside' from the Touched compilation to that.
