Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
Looking like no FSOL 2023 calendar this year. And FSOLdigital site no longer works for me. Same for others? Looks like they will transition to Bandcamp completely then?
Ps) where is everyone? Been very quiet on here in January

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
Ok....well its not the same sample, but I don't think that's what you meant. Same vocalist, or sourced from same material as original sample back in the day? May be, does have a familiarity to it but seems unlikely same vocalist. Let's see what the other scribes on here say. Not my forte as I mentio...

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
Ok I am going to listen now...though I am not very savvy at identifying samples unlike some uber-ears on here!

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
Local Light Scattering - another great track to finish the year. Agree, from timeframe indicated, artwork and style this is surely one leftover from E7 sessions. Actually I think this artwork is better than the CD version of E7.02. This year's calendar selection was not as strong as previous years I...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
Gorgeous track this month, in Fluid Motion Characterized by Chaotic Changes, with increasingly surprising aural developments as it goes on. Actually best of the year. Artwork top notch as usual too.

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
So my vinyl copy of this has arrived but it has a skip near the end of Embodied Cognition. Anyone else have that problem or do I just have an unlucky copy? Had the CD version for a while, and I love it (unsurprisingly). Pretty much on repeat all the time at the moment. First off I didn't think it wa...

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
Purchased CD on Bandcamp. Wished I’d ordered it a few weeks ago now though as it says 8 days to deliver for some reason. Too many other things been going on for me so didn’t get a chance before now hence hoping just to pop down to a real shop (!) when I had a moment. Also pre-ordered the vinyl on Am...

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
Can we only get a copy of this on Bandcamp at the moment? I foolishly thought it would be out in an HMV shop this coming weekend! I see Amazon says their pre-order date for vinyl is 18 November and for the CD is 25 November… Good price for the vinyl on Amazon by the way at £20.24 including UK postage.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
@ Offland: funny as, as I listened to it I thought “this is why I love FSOL”! Anyway agree this is a really nice mellow track, best for a while - though actually Deconstructed Room was really good. Love the downtempo percussion and accompanying synth lines (on ALb). Better than last month’s (Occasio...

Re: A Space of Partial Illumination e7.002 out October 2022
So do we think there will be some kind of connection (musically) between these e7 releases? Can’t see an obvious connection between the titles, Rituals, and A Space of Partial Illumination. I was expecting the title to follow on thematically from Rituals - oh how naive am I?! I remember a long time ...

Re: Rituals: e7.001 (Environment 7) out April 2022
Finally I got to hear this, CD was delayed a week in the shops (yes I bought it in a shop!). Some serious low bass going on throughout this album! They must have been watching Bladerunner 2049 before they recorded it! 😉 Really digging it. Hopiate is a stunner; I want to be at a festival with this pl...

Re: The Amorphous Androgynous - Listening Beyond the Head Chakra
I found that second interview very interesting and didn’t get negative vibes from it. I’m with Dennis! Interesting to hear the anecdote about the Isness Abbey Road recording and “being banned from there”, implied perhaps because he overcooked the record label’s budget, who knows?! A few more titbits...

Re: Mind Maps 2 - 12th November on Touched
Ross I think you're right; they'd get more attention and kudos if the albums, particularly the Environment ones, had standalone titles. Perhaps they don't crave that - but I wouldn't believe that even if they said it!
