Re: Saw THE ORB last night

Yeah, I was (and still am) into a lot of metal and punk and really all kinds of rock music. In the early 2000s I got into Porcupine Tree, who are a more experimental rock band. And then in around 2008 I got into Isis, who I think were quite influential in my then getting into electronica a few years...

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

Enhanced Archives to appear on FSOLDigital soon - probably after they've got The Cartel out of the way. Only digital at the mo, the decision whether to do physical versions will be made when stocks of the current CDs have depleted. Cool, thanks for the info! Right, someone go and buy all the remain...

Re: Saw THE ORB last night

I'm a recent convert to all this electronica music, or whatever we call it - I'm in my 30s now, and used to listen mostly to various kinds of rock music (which I still listen to). It was FSOL about a year ago that made me realise there was electronica out there that wasn't like the dumb chart stuff ...

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

Just wondering about "Mas X-XX-XX" from Archive 2. Was this like the two tracks from Archive 3 where it was on the original MP3 release but then removed for the CD release? How long is it, is it any good? - I'm presuming it's an alternate version of Mas X-XX-XX2 ?

Re: FSOL - ISDN Show (the 1997 promo)

Nice work! This was getting confusing - and maybe explains why a track I found to listen to labelled as Womb sounded suspiciously like My Kingdom!

Is Carlos as yet unreleased anywhere other than here?

Re: Pande-reviews: 1996.4 (FSOL - ISDN Shows '96 Part 2)

So what is the track list for that France 1997 show? It'd be nice if they listed the tracks in the description. I presume when you buy these live transmissions they are just one long MP3 rather than being split up track by track?

Re: Pande-reviews: 1996.4 (FSOL - ISDN Shows '96 Part 2)

I managed to listen to Womb and Womb 2. Womb seemed to be an alternate mix of My Kingdom and Womb 2 also had strong similarities to a Dead Cities track, but I can't quite place which one off the top of my head. It's probably my favourite collection of tracks they've done - It's like an upgraded vers...

Hmmm, and it seems there's a Womb and Womb 2 on there? I'm looking forward to your review on this one, it sounds interesting :)

Re: Pande-reviews: 1996.4 (FSOL - ISDN Shows '96 Part 2)

@epitome Womb and few more rarities are released here: http://www.discogs.com/Future-Sound-Of-London-ISDN-Show/master/287620 Nice. I'll try and track that down. I looked through your other "Transmissions" reviews - looks like there are still quite a few tracks from those that haven't been...

What is the Slight of Hand EP? I guess we should expect Womb and whatever else is on there to appear in the Archive releases?

Ooh, and another version of WHE that I haven't heard - gonna check that out now! :D

Great work on these reviews!

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

Another thing to consider, given the lack of bonus tracks listed for Volume 3 on fsoldigital: The mp3 versions on fsoldigital may actually now be the enhanced versions. Now this is interesting/confusing. I will have to try and probe for a proper answer. And if the MP3 versions are the enhanced vers...

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

Does anyone know what quality MP3s you get for 7€ from Beatport? And tryptych, what makes you think we won't see physical releases? Just because it's already been so long?

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

Well if anyone wants to hook me up with the enhanced versions I won't say no. But otherwise I'll put up with Spotify for a while and wait for them to be released on CD.
