Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Path 6 could be the album version or The Empty Land. It could also be a track held back if they ever do a reissue of Dead Cities that comes on a bonus disc. I'm sure they are holding lots of other tracks back that could fit this purpose for their other albums too.

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Yes I wish Discogs would edit these off. But good to know it was done in 97. Cheers.

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Yeah it looks like a home made job. I've just noticed it doesn't have a date too. Is the Mixing It '97 mix by FSOL in 1997 or is it by Tito Lozano and done much later?

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Glacier is listed on this promo version of the ISDN show CD as part of a bonus mix - https://www.discogs.com/The-Future-Sound-Of-London-ISDN-Show/release/4966827 I agree the breakbeat/big beat sound would have fitted very well at the time, but wouldn't have aged anywhere near as well as their other ...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
The first part of Glacier seems to be about the same length as it appeared on the promo, so i would assume the second part is the remix. I've never heard the version on the promo, so I'm just guessing. Quite a mixed bag seems to have come from those sessions and some of the tracks I'm either not tha...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
I knew tracks like Glacier, Sendero Luminoso (aka Shining Path), Mango Tree, 100 Baby Spiders and The Exhibition were set to fit in somewhere after Dead Cities, as some of them feature on promos that came out at that time. I’d have never have placed I Turned To Face The Sun around that time though, ...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Just listened to both Eggshell and Climbing, and yes there is a similarity in those patted drums on Eggshell. That's the thing, it's so difficult to place when some tracks were even made. Hopefully they release a couple more archives albums to include those unreleased tracks. Even if they are just d...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Glass is unlikely to emerge then seeing how it was meant to collaborative. But as you say, Yage is pretty much ready to go though. I thought Climbing sounded much later. But many of their tracks surprise me as to how early they were actually written. Tokyo Travel for example. I know there are outtak...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
I always thought Yage deserved a single of paths. Yashica would fit on there too. Glass I was surprised when I first read it was originally set for a single release. The only track I can think of on their Archives releases even similar is Space Squids. Don't suppose there is much chance of them cons...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
It's interesting what other tracks were on that CD too and how they originally sounded. Seems the original version of Yage was actually Hallucination and they made it more dubby for the album. Carlos doesn't seem to be used or released anywhere else though. Her Face Forms in Summertime is much darke...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
Part 5 in effect is just the radio edit of Part 1. Not sure why they did that. As on the Cascade single, the shortform was included on the end of the other 5 parts. The live version on the Netshow CD you mean? I like that version too with the extra samples and effects. So that's actually 4 other ver...

Re: My Kingdom re-imagined / Isness - Record Store Day relea
There are actually 3 other My Kingdom tracks aside from the 5 parts on the single. The Dead Cities version, the version on Teachings From The Electronic Brain (Best Of), and The Empty Land. Either of these could be the part 6. My hopes would be that part 6 is something different entirely! I agree th...

Re: AA Alternate Mixes on Astralwerks Soundcloud
I remember there being a cassette of this album. Tracks like Ephidrena were missing as well as a couple of others to shorten the overall length down. I definitely remember Liquid Insects mixing into Mountain Goat like this. Not sure if it was promo or not.

Re: New mystery FSOL release...
This made me laugh, but I also let out a worried "hmmm.." after.Dennis wrote:Maybe it´s "from the archived electric brain storming environments vol. 0.1 part 1, presented and mixed by the amorphous sound of yage"?

Re: New mystery FSOL release...
It will be very interesting if it's something all on its own i.e not part of a series (Archives, Environments) or not a compilation of already released tracks (Life in Moments, Mushroom 11). If it's a standalone FSOL album then I'm very intrigued.
