Re: FSOL - Archived 8

It's tracks like "Forlorn" that really take me back to that FSOL headspace. Oh so familiar.

Out of ALL the Archives and Environments so far, E4 is probably my favorite.

Re: FSOL - Archived 8

Awesome as always. "Standing Room" has that same sound/instruments as stuff like "Glacier pt. 2" from E2 and "Fibrillation" from E4. Sonic DMT.

Re: What are you listening to?

OK, ear healed almost completely now. I don't know where I had smashed that.. pretty odd. Will probably listen to Archives 8 this evening with a proper setting (not THAT proper 'tho ;) Right now, listening to Memoryhouse "The Years EP", some crazy good tracks on this. "Lately" wa...

Re: What are you listening to?

I think it has something to with pressure. It also think there's a small hole hole in my eardrum which should heal in a 1-2 weeks. It's getting better all the time 'tho :D

Re: What are you listening to?

Apocryphos, Kammarheit, Atrium Carceri - Onyx Fuckin' awesome. Top notch dark ambient, 9/10. I also listened the whole Cure discography chronologically (not all the singles 'tho) and started to listen to Funkadelic s catalogue yesterday.. the first two albums are hella chaotic and druggy. Now I'm l...

Re: What are you listening to?

Still going through Touched Two and haven't even started the remixes, these are just simply overwhelming. Maybe a bit too much good stuff, too fast. Some of the material isn't that good 'tho and I'm not used to listening albums skipping tracks, especially when it consists of 250+ songs so I'm more l...

Re: What are you listening to?

Yeah, I'm not just a big fan of minimalistic electro stuff like a lot of the new-ish MBM seems to be. I loved the use of real instruments, vocals and catchy hooks on the previous albums.. But yeah, a lot of the new singles/ep's seem pretty underground and pretty experimental. I'd still love to see h...

Re: What are you listening to?

Yeah, I have that.. unfortunately that's exactly what I'm talking about, absolutely nothing memorable on that. Lightyears apart from stuff like SS and AS&V. One day again maybe.. I also got the Travelogue Live '05-thing which was surprisingly good! They're truly an unique band, I think that movi...

Re: What are you listening to?

Been filling my Meat Beat Manifesto collection, I worship the guys, they have SUCH an unique style and visual appearance.. although I have to admit that their best albums so far were in the late 90's.. then they (or rather he) went back to their "roots" to slightly boring dub stuff.. I wis...

Re: WOW had no idea this place existed

Hi and welcome :) - The Athens show DVD was never released. Apparently it still WILL be in the future. - From The Archives is entirely old material. The Environments 1 is old stuff, 2-4 is mix of old and new and Environments 5 is entirely new material. - The newest broadcast I'm aware of is this -> ...

Re: Touched Two Remixes

I have to admit that I skip some tracks that are not my thing (like some of the synth-pop'ish/electro stuff) but the amount of good new artists I've discovered is crazy. Listening to Touched Two right now, down to track 78 now. Phew.

Re: Touched Two Remixes

Damn these compilations are absolutely overwhelming in volume.. and also killing my damn HDD space :D Will probably download this later this month, I have vol. 2 but still haven't digested all that. EDIT: now that I'm revisiting this (Vol 2.).. these compilations are kick ass. A lot exclusive mixes/...

Re: Nightmares about the past

(stuff) You know what it all comes down to? Greed. That's the reason behind all this. Media spraying out this discord, anxiety and other bullshit, getting people to blame each other while the real criminals are getting away with it all. In the end, I seriously think that this is part of the complet...
