Re: What are you listening to?

My favourite PT albums are Fear of a Blank Planet, Lightbulb Sun and The Sky Moves Sideways. But then I like metal as well as prog and alternative rock. I like the variety in the PT back catalogue :) AFAIK, Wilson heard Opeth for the first time and then decided "hey, I want to sound like those...

Re: What are you listening to?

Yeah, Stupid Dream is great. This one was also my introduction to PT. In Absentia was the last album I really liked, then lost interest for quite a few years. In retrospective the later PT albums are not that bad at all, there are some pretty decent songs on Deadwing or Fear of a blank planet. But ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Recently I got through the Steven Wilson solo stuff from "Insurgentes" to "The Raven..." and I must say this is pretty awesome stuff. Really don´t know why I missed out this, perhaps because the last Porcupine Tree stuff didn´t grab me the way it did back 13 years ago, I somehow...

Re: What are you listening to?

So I quickly listened to the new Venetian Snares.. TBH, I'm not a huge fan of this retro analog synth fad.. I guess if you're into the synth sound in general you're probably going to love this but I feel like there's only so much you can do with just modular synths without any "real" instr...

Re: What are you listening to?

3TEETH - 3TEETH [2014] (industrial, metal) That has to be one of the best industrial albums in quite some time :) It's pretty good but I find it to be pretty entry level stuff and they're not certainly reinventing the wheel here. Pretty solid release nontheless. Espectrostatic - Escape from Witchtr...

Re: What are you listening to?

DC has a staggeringly good back catalogue. Shame you didn't get on it earlier, they were all free downloads until the label got hooked up to Spotify etc. (which required the albums to be for sale) Actually it's good IMO, makes them some money and makes it easier to digest when you can't just downlo...

Steve Roach & Loren Nerell: Terraform (2006)
Loren Nerell: Slow Dream (2012)
Loren Nerell: Intangible (2011)

Fucking awesome. If you're into Stearns (i have all his stuff), you have to check these out. Just very organic, quality "traditional" ambient.

Re: Limited prints on FSOLdigital

That PNG print looks great. Still looking for a proper frame for the AIU promo poster, now it's just sitting in the tube in the corner.. could they make it any harder size than 52cm? :D 60x60cm from habitat? http://www.habitat.co.uk/dark-birch-60-x-60cm-24-x-24-dark-stained-wooden-picture-frame-230...
