Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song

oh im so sorry to hear that ross. that must be really awful. my sister in law has long covid as well and she was bed bound for almost a year before gradually getting back onto her feet (one reason I hate gaz's covid minimising - I know how serious it can be)

congrats on the appearance ross
will tune in to the broadcast but not holding out hope - still think fsol is spreading itself thin with these minor releases

Re: What happened to Buggy G. Riphead

this explains a lot about the art. I like some of the new covers but they don't feel as iconic as the older ones.always liked the way the art matched the 'collage artist" approach of the music, the rituals cover in particular is just really odd... like where are the photos and atmospheres? just...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

had a listen to these band camp versions, the crossfades are helpful but sadly not adding up to anything like classic fsol, especially 2020-2021 albums.

Re: Rituals: e7.001 (Environment 7) out April 2022

They undoubtedly put out some of the strangest material released on a major label in the 1990s, but at the same time those records are chock full of genuinely hook-filled music, either through samples or their own compositions. The Environments series is definitely considerably less commercial in t...

Re: The Amorphous Androgynous - Listening Beyond the Head Chakra

it definitely reads like he goes to Brian for input but he's not a major player on the album which is a huge shame because they used to work so well together

also tbh I thought one reason ross was so negative is because he clearly talks to Brian a lot so had some insider knowledge about it all

Re: Rituals: e7.001 (Environment 7) out April 2022

going to have to be the odd one out here and say I'm a bit disappointed. while I agree with most of you that its pretty different to the past few years of stuff, and I get the isdn parallels with all the slow beats and stuff, there are only three or four tracks standing out to me. the first track is...

Re: The Amorphous Androgynous - Listening Beyond the Head Chakra

Gaz mostly involved with AA, Brian doing his stuff all the time, and they still seem connected, trading tracks and songs so I really don't see a problem, or why should I "fuck this guy". it looks to me like gaz is doing amorphous and then occasionally getting Brian to add input like a ses...

glad there are some longer tracks in there this time. 17 is still quite a lot but I'm still holding out hope for this - its been a long time coming! only a couple of weeks to go now. need to find my nearest local record store day shop

Re: Humanoid - sT8818r Humanoid - Autechre, Luke Vibert, Mike Dred remixes

love the heogen and acreationator remixes, the yage one is great too. some of the others are a little too idm focused for my taste but its a solid set and great to see all those names coming together to celebrate a great track.
