Re: The official HERD thread - Circadian Tales radio show
Just added a new work in progress to my Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/herdtangents/auckland-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Is that a working title or is this moving away from the Tangents series? Great progress anyway, your tracks sound more alive (in a creepy, ...

Re: Mazda advert April 1995
Haha, bloody hell. I'd imagine after Lifeforms she was probably a somewhat popular model for a while.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
Since he knew that he was getting involved with weirdos what the fuck did he expect? How do we know he doesn't like the tracks because they were too weird? Maybe they just sounded a bit muddy or cluttered or were too long or... who knows! People who heard the Abbey Road Isness first were largely un...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
I think all along it's been said that they're producing it and it'll be Noel Gallagher's second album, not a Noel Gallagher & Amorphous Androgynous record. Also, once again, I wouldn't take everything he says all that seriously, he might be saying this to cover up/dramatise the wait for the albu...

Re: FSOL and Literature
I can do it with some music - a lot of 'proper' ambient stuff works quite well. Anything with vocals or anything that demands a lot of attention to 'get' it (ie FSOL) is out of the question though.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
Those boys had a deadline?? To be fair, they are producing his album, that's kind of how it all works. Obviously 'deadlines' and 'FSOL' aren't the most compatible things, however... I am thinking along the same lines as Dell in that it's a shame they're going to be putting a lot of time into a non-...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
From the NME and a billion other websites: "It's turning into a f**king right saga at the minute. Those boys had a deadline for it to be finished before I went on tour... and unfortunately for them, they've only delivered a couple of tracks, and they're trying to mix it while I'm on the road......

Re: The Isness due for re-release?
Although the Abbey Road mix is by far the superior version, the band really didn't want it released so I'd be very, very surprised if it got released somehow, given that they managed to get Cleopatra to recall any remaining copies the last time they released it. On the other hand, it does look like ...

Re: FSOL and Literature
Ha bloody hell, I remember that.
I can't do anything when I'm listening to FSOL, I've tried reading but I always lose track of the words and end up just listening to the music.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
God, music journalists are so lazy. Instead of checking out a couple of Amorphous tracks to hear what they sound like, he's instead just gone along the 'Chemical Brothers are psychadelic' (nice spelling) route which Noel has already said it won't sound like. I think a lot of people are going to be v...

Re: Terminal Window 2
I've decided never to use silly/obscure/made up words ever again as people (understandably) always misspell them.

I wondered whether it was connected with the Isness re-release type thing that was due... er, four years ago now.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
In one interview he said they keep working on mixes again and again as time goes on - so who knows. One thing I've learned is never put faith in what Noel says in an interview. There are lots of stories and half truths in there.
