Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Also, it's probably important to remember that in this whole thing, we're discussing music we haven't even heard... Except for "shoot a hole into the sun" which I liked very much and the other thing I forgot the title, that dancey thing in a more electronic vein that was also not bad at a...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

"It'll turn up in five years time as the great lost album."

I expect a huge boxset 'the collected great lost recordings by amorphous androgynous from 2007 to 2012' turning up unexpectedly next year or so. Along with a 'proper new FSOL Dead Cities follow up', hehe... ;)

Re: From the Archives 7 out November 19th

Right, that was the one. A rather beautiful voice I would say.
And she is somewhere on EBS 7, but I don't know where.

Re: From the Archives 7 out November 19th

Interesting. By the way, was she ever heard on a FSOL/AA track before? I feel like having read her name featuring on some album or maybe it was just the tracklist from EBS mixes, not sure (and too lazy to look for it now harhar). For a while I was certain that it is her singing on the misprint versi...

Re: From the Archives 7 out November 19th

I notice some kind of continuity on the last 3 fta covers. The story goes like this: After Vit has turned up after probably years of drowning (fta5) he engaged in a relationship with a rather zombie-like looking Shauneen Ta (fta6), which turns out to be so exhausting that he turned into a balding an...

Damn, Vit turned bald and old with the years. Just like me.

Re: From the Archives 7 out November 19th

Wow, great, that is 2 albums in 2012, not bad. Wonder if E5 is waiting close behind on the release schedule...
Btw, no 'hydromedusa' among the tracktitles.'Switzerland' sounds familiar. Where do I know this from?

Re: The Isness due for re-release?

Do you mean the mello hippo ep? This one seems to be a pretty rare piece too these days.(But I think you can order it from fsoldital) A local record store with something like that in stock is something that I dream of at night.

Re: The Isness due for re-release?

I can´t believe it. Just now the postman rang at the door delivering a package from amazon. I was sure there must be a mistake as I couldn´t remember having ordered something the last few weeks/months. And then I had this premonition as it seemed to be a very slim case, could it be...there WAS actua...

Re: FSOLdigital

Honestly, this endless wait for a 'true new Dead Cities Follow Up' has got quite ridiculous since 2008 or so. C´mon guys, there´s a hell lot of stuff been released since then (with E4 being my personal post millenial FSOL-highlight still), there´s a billion potential releases ahead, I´m afraid we re...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

am I to think that everyone is expecting him to think his own music is shit? Nono, not that. Maybe I never quite got him right, but this whole 'I will not get the AA thing out as long as my own album goes well'-thing sounded always somewhat strange to me. The guys put energy, time, money and effort...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Haha, he even looks like Gaz´ twin brother. Honestly, at first sight I wondered why there´s a picture of Gaz on a John Frusciante video. But yeah, you´re right, that would be a fitting collab. I also could think of hell lot of great artists they could work with, The Flaming Lips come to my min...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

OMG his statements really read as it's all just about being in the top ten for him now. The fact that his album has been in the top ten now for several months convinced him that it MUST be good. I really had some hopes after he abandoned Oasis he might turn into a kind of a musical adventurer workin...

Re: FSOLdigital

I'm wondering what 'The Environments Series' is. Is this supposed to be a proper release, or does it just mean 'to be released on later parts of the series?'
Regarding the new site, I had also some problems to get items out of the cart, that went there unintentionaly. But a big 'thumbs up' anyway!

Re: FSOLdigital

Omg, what a hell lot of releases to come. Grrreat. Anyone heard fsolsampler 2 already? I'm somewhat curious about the supposed E5 and A7 tracks...
("Hydromedusa" is 1 great track title, isn't it?)
