Re: Environments 6

Ross - interesting approach to focus on one album all week, then move to the other one. I couldn't do that! I commend your will power.

Re: Environments 6

The Future Sound came through my letter box today. Just listened to Environment Six, and immediate first pass impression (typing whilst on last track) is that it is a luscious soundscape closer to the perceived concept of an environment than any preceding album in the series since the very first Env...

Re: Environments 6

My copies haven't arrived yet and I am dying while being held reading all your comments. I am however totally hyped and been on FSOL playback only lockdown all week, so enjoying plenty of stuff.

I am amused it is listed (erroneously I am sure) as Transmitter by Blackhill!

Like the sleeve. Ready to buy!

I'd buy the vinyl. Especially for this latest one, which is really rather good.

Re: Blackhill Transmitter Four

Interestingly what do people call these EPs? I notice the new one is Four.

Others were EP, 2nd and 3

...typical FSOL!

I had called them EP1, EP2 and EP3...but feel I ought to adopt the official nomenclature. But that's a fight between purism and OCD!!!

Re: FSOL - Archived 8

I too have finally got this. Not to be unexpected, but I am totally into this; excellent! Never ceases to amaze me how prolific FSOL have been, even if this is reworked from the archives; sorry un-archived :)

Just love that last track especially. Oh and the first...etc

Any inside news on Environments 6? We saw the sleeve in the Artworks book, so I was hoping it would be sometime in 2015.

Re: Environment FIVE: out 8-Sep-2014

Environment Five is my favourite, and consistently so nearly a year on. Musically it is a grandee I feel.

Followed in order by: Environments 3, Environments 2, Environments 4 and Environments

Re: questions from a FSOL newbie

You should add the Far out Son of Lung and the Ramblings of a Madman to your future single spending spree. Different but cool versions of the ISDN tracks. I love this single as I only bought the original limited edition ISDN back in the day and so never had the track Snake Hips which is ace....and l...
