Re: Yage 2019 - RSD release
I like the cover. In some ways it reminds me of the ISDN era.
Cool that Yage is going to get the same treatment My Kingdom did last year. I do hope it's all gapless too!
Is one of these tracks disguised as the Leon Mar version? EDIT: I meant the Oil remix!

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
Up there with my fave calendar tracks. Seeing how other calendar tracks later appeared on full releases, I imagine the full version will see the light of day in the near future too. It would be pretty cruddy to mention it and then not release it!

Re: FSOL song name game on Sporcle
That's just cruel. I struggled even though I cheated on most of them. I gave up after the first environments (lol at the track titles for that). Yeah that's definitely not gonna happen - Dead Cities, my favourite album of all time (not just FSOL) I can only name 9 out of the 15. I've got track name ...

I had also hoped they would thread these tracks together as a kind of 'part 3' to the original 2 CDs. The album turns 25 this year doesn't it? *cough cough*Ross wrote:It's possible that all these Virgin-released tracks might end up on some Lifeforms 3CD expanded edition if it ever happens.

Re: Covert 3 on Touched
If I had to guess, under the assumption that one track is by FSOL, I'd say it is 'Into The Belly'. The production on it is very similar to Environments 6/6.5 I completely agree with that. The way it abruptly starts and those looping patterns sound very FSOL. The name of the track sounds most likely...

Which track do you think they might have done? Bandcamp
Some suspected Autechre and BOC on there for sure.

Re: Archived 9 - out 5th October, and other upcoming release
Just had a cursory listen through. Sounds more like the Ramblings EPs, which is a good thing for me. I really like the first track 'Ocea'. That's playing while I type. I just noticed the track 'Osaka Traveller' compared to the name 'Tokyo Travel' from Archives 5. I won't spoil it, but you will like ...

Re: Archived 9 - out 5th October, and other upcoming release
First trailer is on... Instagram. Nice ambient piece with jarring sounds. The first animated version of the new spike model in the video. https://www.instagram.com/p/BoKTLWMnnWK/?taken-by=futuresoundoflondon I'm hearing some Lifefoms/ISDN era type sounds in that video. Elaborate Burn and Dirty Shad...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
I'm guessing Archived 9 is done similarly to Archived 8. Whereby tracks are completely reworked rather than just taken straight from the original files. So it's an outtake from those reworkings. I hope they release more stuff in its original form like the earlier Archives releases. Still several tra...

Re: Archived 9 - out 5th October, and other upcoming release
I'm wondering if they'll be available digitally. Could well be. I seem to remember the vinyl of Archived-Environmental-Views later being available digitally. Or maybe the digital version will have all the tracks. Not unless it's been renamed. Or just listed in English. It was originally written in ...

Oh no, not vinyl exclusives. I'm limited to digital/CD only.
Although wasn't the track 'Light' a calendar track from this year?
