Re: Yage 2019 - RSD release
Yeah, pretty solid release. Unlike the My Kingdom Reimagining with its AA touches, could this have been easily released back in 97 or 98, it really sounds like a lost ep from the Dead Cities-era, with its psychedelic funky break beat sounds.. Still those guitar riffs in ayahuasca and bejing give me ...

Re: Yage 2019 - RSD release
Sounds like a rather difficult release. Really curious, how this will work all together. Never was the greatest fan of the "bejing" version and hallucinations. It seems, that Yage 2019 starts as the original album track and then developes into something new, like the my kingdom version fro...

Re: What are you listening to?
Devin Townsend - Empath I've been enjoying this guy för quite some years now, and this album here is nothing more than his masterpiece, a totally insane, incredibly detailed production of a completely-over-the-top-progmetal record. Even quite some IDM-touches, but in a more metal-kind of way. For an...

Re: Yage 2019 - RSD release
Wasn't there a yage ep planned back in the day after Dead Cities came out?

Re: Yage 2019 - RSD release
Nice. Although I never was too keen on those Yage reinterpretations like the hallucinations versions or ayahuasca from FTA 1 or EBS. The original track from Dead Cities is among my favourite FSOL tracks, but those remixes always seemed a bit inferior compared to the otherwordly bliss of the original...

Aleksi Perälä - The Colundi Sequence Vol.1 & 2 First stuff I hear from this guy. Thought these compilations might be a good starting point. It's really good, like it's 1993 again :) Heavy early Aphex Twin-vibes of course, but also with its own note. From what l read this guy released about a ton...

Re: Albums in order of preference
Yeah, curious about Env7 too. Maybe it will be full of the more FSOL sounding outtakes from their recent AA sessions, I could imagine.

Re: What are you playing at the moment
What term do you mean? "like nothing"?
In the sense of "like nothing else", I'm pretty sure that's understandable for native english speakers, hm?

Re: What are you playing at the moment
Subnautica in VR with Oculus Rift is absolutely marvelous. Though it has some flaws still, (heavy pop-ups, sometimes graphics slightly stuttering when moving despite running an i7 and a 1080ti) I can clearly say his is the most impressing thing I ever came across in terms of a "video game"...

Re: What are you listening to?
Yeah, would agree, it's their weakest album compared to the rest of their discog (although I don't see Wonky much higher with stinkers like beezledub and that awful titletrack on it), but still quite decent. I really like esp. Lost and Tunnel Vision for that quite dark and desolate sound. It was aro...

Orbital - Blue Album Just listened to this one since ages for the first time again, and was surprised how much of the album i like actually, esp. the first 5 tracks are pretty much ok to my ears. Definitely on par with the most stuff on Wonky although with a much darker tone of course. Bath Time and...

Re: What are you listening to?
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Twentythree Nice. Has that typical 90ies ambient-feel of albums like 76:14 or "Remotion" by Global Communication. Recently I got all their other albums as well, like them very much. Gryphon - Midnight Mushrumps & Red Queen To Gryphon Three Wonderful british pro...
