Re: Terminal Window 2

Yeah, most of Volume 1 was sent as mp3s actually, as it was released as mp3s.

Also I'd say 16 bit is probably more than sufficient. This obsession with 24 bit lately seems a bit ridiculous given that everyone survived with 16 bit for twenty years without complaining.

Re: Terminal Window 2

Bandcamp is good for hosting I agree. Sirona will get us about 4,800 more listeners, if the stats of the first one are anything to go buy. Depends what you fancy. I can send wav copies of the first one if you want to do Bandcamp.

Re: Terminal Window 2

I'm really trying to avoid organising net releases after Jerky Oats began to do my head in. Sirona somehow seem to end up with about 5,000 downloads per release so I'm sure some people would go in for that.

Re: Tangerine Dream/Ashra/Shultze....stuff

I really struggle with Tangerine Dream after... probably after Ricochet to be honest. The late 70s stuff is too prog for my liking, and after that it was a slow, painful descent into new age tedium. I know some people are huge fans of their 80s stuff (Poland seems to be popular for reasons I cannot ...

Re: Full-Source thread

Lovely stuff. Obsequious Liquid was pretty good back in the day, fond memories of that one. I also have an mp3 of Strange Sensation somewhere! I think you uploaded that one in a 'look at the music I used to make!' moment :) .

Goodbye Full-Source, it's been fun.

Re: What are you listening to?

Torrents are kind of out of my range at the moment - no internet at my flat and when I visit my parents they get arsey when I start filling their PC with software they don't want, haha.

Re: What are you listening to?

This thread is making me want to get my Photek stuff out. Modus Operandi is one of my favourite records. If only my CDs weren't 200 miles away...

Re: What are you listening to?

Plaid definitely fall into the 'stuff I really don't get' territory, absolutely no idea what's going on there.

Now playing... Spheruleus - Forgotten Outland. Incredibly beautiful acoustic-based ambient stuff, brilliant.

Re: Noisesurfer Thread

Sometimes music comes out really interesting, amusing and occasionally rather nice in lo bitrate.
Terrarum is not an album I would place on that list.

Re: What are you listening to?

It hasn't quite hit me as much as Rhythm of Snow and Rigning have (particularly the latter), but there's some really wonderful stuff on there.

np Secede - Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic

FSOL on Wipeout 2048?

Not sure how accurate this is, but this site suggests the announced artists to feature on the next WipEout game are:

• Orbital
• Leffield
• The Future Sound of London
• Underworld
• Deadmau5

Make of that what you will!
