Re: Electric Brain Storms

Hey man - welcome to the board ! If I'm remembering correctly (no doubt Ross can correct me) the reason for their lack of availability is a rights issue of selling a mixset that's got such a large amount of material from other musicians. It's a shame though cos they are so bloody good (7 could well ...

Re: FSOL @ 20 - Lifeforms

there's a VERY loud synth sweep at the end of the first disc (was it?).. Yeah, at almost exactly the minute mark of Among Myselves - makes me jump every time ! Interesting Dull fact - This was the first album I used to see me through migraines, interesting enough to keep me awake (It used to be tha...

Re: FSOL @ 20 - Lifeforms

Yep, well, I guess I pay a little too much attention to details when listening to music. It's best audible during the monologue at the start of "Among Myselves". In the beginning of "Domain" I also hear a few pops/clicks. During almost all of "Interstat" there's a fain...

Re: Loose Link Thread - Next Release: "Karramantha"

Ugh, I've just heard my track for the first time since sending it to you - there's so much muddy mid range in the first section dominating almost everything else in the mix .... (hangs head in shame)

Re: Electric Brainstorm 7

I've only just got round to listening to this despite downloading it nearly two weeks ago and it's by far my favourite of these Transmissions to date. Really cohesive mood throughout the hour and some really heart-wrenching emotions arising from listening to it (particularly Dan Pemberton's track ri...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Gaz never shuts up. He will not stop talking. Every day it would be a lecture on the psychedelic gifts that we were about to receive and there would be an hour and a half, bare minimum, of him talking before we even did anything. And the other one, Brian, never says a word. He just makes loads of j...

Re: Lost FSOL track from 93!

Oops, probably should've worded that clearer, it's not actually by Autechre they just played in on their 8 hour DJ set (they've also done two 12 hour ones since then, both of which are awesome - they should be floating around on the net somewhere). The artist is Ross 154 and the track is Remembrance...

Oooh, the 'breakbeat' one is very familiar - definitely heard it before....... EDIT: I FLIPPING FOUND IT - Sorry, bit excited there!!! Yeah the track on sample 2 was also played on the 8 hour Autechre radio set from back in 2005. The track is Ross 154 - Remembrance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm...

Post ace Youtube / Google Video / Vimeo findings

Yeah most forums do this now, but it usually brings up some awesome results. Here's a couple to open with: Here's a video taken from a 4Kb demo by the masters of coding Quite & orange featuring music by Dune (aka Brothomstates / Lassi Nikko ). 4Kb ?! - That's the code size for both the graphics ...
