Re: Tech Halp

I would guess the easiest and most effective way is to find the microphone input on your soundcard, and connect the line-out signal from your source to it.

Probably shouldn't use pre-amp out, that's meant for using with a power amp, because it's volume controlled.

Re: What are you listening to?

Covenant - Bullet
Northern Light (2002)

Now this is good EBM, or whatever it's called. Not very fond of their most recent work.

Great album, one of their heaviest.

Re: What are you listening to?

re: FSOL vinyl I have black and white editions of ISDN, but the black one is unlistenable. Not sure if it's due to abuse by previous owner, or too much music crammed on to too little space. Probably both. White one sounds decent, I play it every now and then. Side A of my Dead Cities copy for some r...

Sunn O))) & Ulver - Terrestrials

New collaborative album by two of my favorite bands. Highly recommended, the last track in particular is just fantastic.

Re: FSOL FutureMusic DVD 2006

IIRC (It's bee a few years since I've heard it) - I think it's A Gigantic Globular Burst Of Antistatic (well a bit of it) Here's the video bits on the DVD: Cool, I hadn't seen those before. That's some seriously weird stuff the dude is talking about  Stereo is a cartoon of music? And 5.1 cha...

Earth - The Driver
The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull (2008)

If I ever go on a road trip through the US deserts, I'm definitely bringing this cd along.

Re: The Future of Rock

A lot of different types man, metal is so diverse! But no, not much of the early stuff from the 80's. It started when I used to go through this skater phase in my high school years, so you get the idea of the kind of alternative metal that involves, most of which I still absolutely love to this day....

Re: The Future of Rock

I've never been much of a rock fan, assuming we're talking about classical/progressive/hard rock stuff (Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd/ACDC).

But metal has been a huge influence on my life since my early teenage years and I hope it always will continue to do so! \m/

Re: FSOL Facebook Page

I don't like Facebook, but I have it anyway because I was getting really pissed off to miss important announcements from my favorite bands that weren't posted anywhere else.

For FSOL I think the best way to stay up to date is here on this forum :-)

Re: What are you listening to?

I actually listen quite often to LP's.

np:
Alec Empire - Lash The Nineties
Generation Star Wars (1994)

On Spotify, that is :) This song alone is worth getting this album for, because well, the rest is kinda terrible. Wish I had it on vinyl.

Re: What are you listening to?

Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train)

Just saw Trainspotting again recently, what a brilliant movie! And not just for its soundtrack ;-)
So glad there are subtitles, otherwise I would not have understood much of what they said with their Scottish accents.
