Oof, that's a tough pill to swallow there. We all know 2012 is not releasing, heh.Enofa wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 6:05 pm Off the record, I think there’s more chance of The New Love Poetry, Wobbly Oozescapes and 2012 coming out than a Lifeforms re-recording.

Re: Mind Maps 6
Glad I got to tune in for this mix.
Loved the ambient intro piece. I agree with Imogen. It was really good. A lot of variation and melody in there.

Wasn't sure I had another EP in me. Here's 4 tracks from a videogame that fell apart.

I assume this is a bootleg remix sampling the dumb child of Q mix or something. I just stumbled upon it. It released yesterday:

Re: Multiple Angle Distortions pre order
I agree with your assessment, Imogen. I really liked Captures. Multiple Angle Distortions is fine, but no standouts for me. After a first listen, I'm still under the impression that this is a "Window into the Process" themed release, featuring some beats and sketches that will be reworked and ...

You're right, it does look like a rough 3d scan. That makes a little more sense. From the song names and album title it looks like the theme for this one is "Process ...

It's the sequel to the Captures EP. 9 tracks. Listed as pre 8 - 2 so 2nd in the Environments 8 series. While Captures was an EP, this looks like a mini album?
Not sure how I feel about the artwork though. It's, odd.

Re: Papua/Murmurations release for Record Store Day?
I picked up Murmuration Skies. It's nice! If you like Murmurations, you'll like this. It's different enough but still feels like Murmurations. Starts off very minimal and builds to a great percussion section towards the end.

Resurrecting this old thread
I guess a couple of copies got posted and immediately scooped up on Bandcamp. Of note though, there's a new new digital only mix of Murmurations added to the page:

Re: Compilation tracks & Remixography
Whoa! That is very Chems Private Psychedelic Reel sounding. Really like it. Also, is Yage the new Amorphous? Because a few years ago this would have easily been an AA remix.

Hi Dimitri! Welcome back! I think most of the FSOL techniques are beyond me. I'm not sure what Brian's modes of working are these days. Seems like he's got a pretty custom setup for the studio wizardry.

Re: Yage Translations
It was very much on the Amorphous end of their sound. Very guitar focused. Only got a chance to listen to bits of it but sound like the 5 tracks were mostly reconstructed from The Lovers, Wooden Ships, Things Change, The Big Blue. I liked that all the tracks mixed into each other too.

Yage Translations
Thanks for FSOL facebook group for spotting this one! This looks like a 5 track Yage remix/rework EP of PNG Translations!
The EP is in that newer Yage style (Pygmy People, Woodlands of Old, etc). It borrows the new elements from Translations. No original PNG samples here.
No idea why it got uploaded ...
