Re: What are you listening to?

I must confess the words "remastered with bonus tracks" & "previously unreleased b-sides" are really able to trigger me into spending ridiculous amounts of bucks on albums I already own and love :) some kind of guilty pleasure I guess. But in most cases I don´t regret this, t...

Re: What are you listening to?

I'm always very wary of new mixes of old records, maybe just because I'm so familiar with the originals. Mike Oldfield absolutely butchered Hergest Ridge a few years ago. Yeah, it´s often the case with 'remastered' old records that the new mixes appear compressed to death or turn out to be simply j...

Re: What are you listening to?

Oh new Burial? Cool, will have a listen later. Wonder if there will ever be a new full length from him. np: XTC - Oranges & Lemons - Steven Wilson mix didn´t knew that maestro Steve Wilson did also recently remix Skylarking and Oranges & Lemons after he did Nonesuch. So I could not resist an...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

Btw the CD clocks in over 70 min, their longest CD release since ISDN! Do you have it? Does anyone have it yet? If so, can you confirm the tracklist. Only looking at the cover image on Boomkat it looks like there are two more tracks after Viewed from Little Boats. Gaz seemed to be under the impress...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

Archived is hard for me to judge as a cohesive release, the unheard tracks (though they are mostly ACE) just stick to much out for me at the moment. Views works much better despite of the known tracks the thing just flows very well. Btw the CD clocks in over 70 min, their longest CD release since IS...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

The popping noise is on the mp3´s too. Hm. Think I will wait for the CD to rip the 3 tracks from there again. Yes, I will buy the CD too. Think I won´t be able to avoid buying a new FSOL cd when it will appear in my local music store :) But it´s hilarious they made the whole thing available via fsol...

Ah ok. Somehow I thought there is some already heard stuff under different titles on the 3LP version. So it's all 'new'.

Then a digital version of this would be fine, indeed.

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

So the CD will be an official regular Jumpin´& Pumpin´ release without any RSD-limitations, available everywhere? Seems to be out here on May, 12th too through amazon. Ok, so I guess this one´s for me. Hope the 22 tracks are all the previous unreleased stuff from the triple vinyl :)

Re: What are you playing at the moment

Found an old Lucasfilm-Adventure game in a box on the attic called "Thimbleweed Park". Obviously made somewhere in between "Zack Mc Kracken" and "Monkey Island" by the same developers. http://www.chip.de/ii/6/0/2/1/5/3/6/7/9c29438e5f48b7d2.jpg No, seriously, this is lik...

Re: Pande-reviews: 2009.0 (FSOL - EBS Vol.4)

Nothing wrong with PSB & DM, just good, timeless pop music, especially DM had an incredibly right touch for absolute mesmerizing melodies - and when recently "Westend Girls" was playing during my weekly GTA5-session in the ingame-car radio, I suddenly realised how I always fucking love...
