Looks like the digital version is now released. Fairly short tracks, except Northern Point which clocks in at nearly 6 minutes.

Looks like it’s blurring the boundaries between EP and album. Those titles are looking decidedly Humanoidesque.

For me “Damaged Cells” sounds the most obvious one, though it starts to sound less like a FSOL/Humanoid track towards the end. It sounds like one of Brian’s more IDM Humanoid tracks. Only listened really listened to the first five or so tracks full though so opinions could change.

Something is not right there and I am not going to pay to find out what.

This is slightly confusing, as you said Ross, they’ve left off a whole bunch of stuff from 7.002 and added a bonus to the end of 7.001, the track boundaries are all different on the 7.001 and you get a bonus 14 seconds on the end of the final track. To add to the chaos it says “44? Tracks” but lists ...

Is this going to be one that gets an expanded fsoldigital release version?

Regarding the five symbols, other than the Earthbeat one which is central, they did a t-shirt a few years ago with the fourth one - four Japanese style characters inside a circle, which was labelled “herd killing”. Other than that they are a mystery to me. That said, I do have a t-shirt from them ...

Their disregard of release dates bucks the trend of most other bands, they consistently release earlier than scheduled! I will look forward to listening to this in the morning, shame I’m not at home today, or I’d be all over this immediately.

It’s been a long time since I looked at the inners for these albums, but Lifeforms was my first so I should know better.

That new track does seem to come from the same sound palette and feel of the other two albums in the trilogy and this year’s calendar tracks.

Already corrected by Ross on facebook, it was first mentioned in the Lifeforms sleeve. Apparently it’s not the end of Environments, just of this trilogy. Ross reckons it’s still planned to be ten volumes, and wondered whether the subsequent ones would be trilogies too.

I hope the title isn't literal, and this is the last FSOL album....

I'm assuming it's just me having an Autechre NTS4 concern, circa 2018.

I gotta' think the cover art right now is temporary.
