Re: Trip Maps 3 - 11th July

thats kinda promising, i miss ambient collage fsol. trip maps is nice, but not my favourite side of fsol. couple of tracks on this one tickled me.

Re: Multiple Angle Distortions pre order

fsol has finally become humanoid after many years heading in that direction. its not bad but its so far away from fsol that i really dont recognise what the name stands for anymore.

Re: All purpose reissues thread - latest: SX One Live Improvisations

this isn't half bad actually, has a proper fsol ambient atmosphere vibe to it which im enjoying, didn't think much of the original when it came out but im glad I spent the cash on revisiting it this week.

Re: Mind Maps 6

there are a few nice mixes on here but its honestly really hard not to compare this to 90s remixes like darshana and rising and deseo and see how they pale in comparison.

Re: Have FSOL split up?

It's worth noting that it's not always easy to tell who did what based on genre. FSOLDigital aliases releases are officially 'largely the work of Brian' (read into that what you will), and they include The Woodlands of Old and Salient Moons 1973.

this sounds like a thinly veiled way of saying ...

Re: New EP, Captures, out 5th November

some nice tracks here, last two are pretty forgettable but the others are good. but i'm not hearing much new, still sounds like mostly the same sounds as environments 7. i dunno where things can go but i do miss the time when each record sounded really different to the last. it would be nice to be ...

spent a fortune on this but its nice to have it on wax, all 18 tracks in one place finally, makes a great partner album to lifeforms. all we need is another 20 minutes of bonus material for dead cities now lol

haha i love how even this is a "pre e8" ep. everything hiding behind environments. curious to see what its like though, i've enjoyed recent calendar tracks so things seem to be moving toward my taste again, hoping this is another good one.

Re: Off Land - latest albums, Unknown Frequencies & Axial Precession

hi off land, just listened to your new album unknown frequencies, really nice stuff. liking the mix of ambient techno with sequences and strange sounds between tracks. like a really good modern update of that classic 90s sound.
