Re: Have FSOL split up?

Interesting insight Enofa, thanks. Especially the comment on E7.003. That whole trilogy is my favourite release of their’s in years (since Environment 5 for me), with 003 probably the best of the three.

Re: Record Store Day 2025 - Alice in Ultraland

Album has been described as the best thing the creators of The Future Sound of London and The Amorphous Androgynous have ever done. By who ... people that have only heard this one album :D

🤣🤣🤣

It is still a very good album though. I do really enjoy it. But a different experience for a ...

Re: Have FSOL split up?

I hope not. As with most great musical groups it's the sum of the parts and the diversity that brings, that makes them truely great. FSOL a case in point.

But the majority of output the last few years does seem driven by Brian (Calendar tracks for example). But there seemed like Gaz influences on ...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

The February Spherica is the first 'Calendar' track ever not to have its own unique artwork. A trend for 2025?

I wonder if they have they have given up on that, which is a shame as I like the effort to date make these unique pieces of art for every release. Or is it a mistake? I'll wager its a ...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

Oh good to know Calendar tracks are continuing. I didn't get a Bandcamp email by 31 Jan, so feared they weren't happening. No time to check Bandcamp or here until now. I think I say every year...phew once the January track is posted.

Thanks for heads up Offland! And a 6 min track to boot, nice!

Re: FSOL EDGE Mag Interview

That is awesome nostalgia. I enjoyed that, and not just the FSOL bit.

I'll confess I wouldn't have recognised the young Gaz if it was so obviously about FSOL!!

Re: Pleasurefields & Yage - The Pleasure's Coming

First I ever heard that Yage was just Brian. Was this known to others?

Based on the Yage album it always sounded like a Gaz influenced album. I always assumed it was both of them. But what do I know?!! Love that Yage album.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

My word the September 24 calendar track, A Way Home, is really really good. Ambient fantastico magnificence!! Easily my favourite of the year, one of the my favourite of all Calendar tracks.

Recorded 2023 @ 9 LW studios. I like that it is a "recent" 2023 era track.

Re: Future Sound of London Gear List?

That'd be cool Ross. Thanks for above in the meantime!

Was Gaz involved in the re-imagining EPs? Sounds from your comments it was a Brian pursued activity.

Re: Future Sound of London Gear List?

I like this thread idea.

I am quite curious as to what equipment they used to do the EP re-imaginings of things like My Kingdom, Yage and Cascade. Also how they transferred the original sounds to presumably more modern equipment, which could just have been done by sampling (I don’t know!!).

Re: All purpose reissues thread

Seeing as these are proving to be a common occurance but rarely get more than a couple of replies, I thought I'd do a few merges and make an all-purpose reissues thread.

Lifeforms green 2LP out on 15th June

Pulse Two on 28th June (probably earlier from the band)

Just received this as Bandcamp ...

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

I see there is a new May track called Buildings + Skies.

But I am not always getting an email to tell me a new track has arrived, and didn't for this month, but did last month. Anyone else getting this sporadic emailing??! Its a random dip into bandcamp, download the whole album, and see if a new ...
