Re: The Cartel

I'm not into Arcade Fire either. I wouldn't say they sound shit, but I don't see anything special about them (from what I've heard).

Re: FSOL: Touched - Music for Macmillan Cancer Support

I will have to check out Lizzard Crawl - I assumed it would just be the same, so didn't listen. Lakeside is a cool track. Could certainly be part of Environments 5 - hopefully we won't have to wait long to find out ;) Just started listening to some other tracks - LOVE the one by 2ndMouse, I'll defin...

That just sounds good from your description, I might have to check it out.

Re: The Cartel

My favourie album is a double album - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I tend to like longer albums, although I do admit it is harder to find time for them as you get older.

What double album was Noel talking about anyway?

Re: FSOL: Touched - Music for Macmillan Cancer Support

I usually call FSOL electronica, just because I don't really know what else to call them - especially as I don't want to have to list loads of genres to cover it all...

I don't worry much about genres though - doesn't mean much other than giving a vague idea of the style of music.

Haven't listened to that mix yet, but it's nice to see Sun Dial featured in there :)

Re: Environments Singles

Yeah, I'm not expecting that it would ever happen. I suppose the Giant Globular Burst thing is along those lines though (not that I've listened to it yet).

Was just curious which tracks people think would have worked the best in this format :)

Environments Singles

I was just thinking, it's a shame that FSOL don't release singles anymore - specifically from the Environments series. The way they did singles in the 90s was amazing. Cascade, Lifeforms, My Kingdom and WHE are just mind-blowingly good and feel like mini albums. If they had released singles from the...

Re: What are you listening to?

There was meant to be a Seafar record on 12.12.12 that didn't appear. A long wait now until January 2101... In terms of my stuff, check my Bandcamp, if it's not on there it's enough of a side project/experiment to ignore. I think you might be up to date. Got a split in a few weeks and a new album n...
